Our Little Rae Rae

This is the time of year for birthdays in our family so I thought it would be neat to post a little something about each child as they reach a new year in their lives. So I start with Rachel.

This is our little sweetheart! A now big 3 year old! That is by far the best way to describe her. She may get in to everything around and may try to boss her little sister around but at the end of the day she always comes out the sweetest little thing you talk to. She adores babies and will sit and sit jsut holding them until you take the baby back. For Harvest Festival her whole idea was to be a heart(I promise no influence from me). She loves to snuggle and give love. She has the funniest laugh I have ever heard, when she was a baby we called it her crazy old man laugh, it is so fast and deep it will may you laugh every time. When you have a conversation with Rachel she has this way about her that just shows you sweetness, maybe it is her soft spokenness maybe her love for others. Whatever it is she is a love. She is also the one who will follow me everywhere so she can watch and learn how to do them all. When she was one she would take pretend bottle of baby lotion and lift her arm up to rub them under it because she had seen me apply deoderant. :)

The other somewhat smaller side to our paradox that is Rachel is her mischevious side. She has the ability to move in stealth silence and get into anything and everything she finds, even if it is hidden. She has covered her hands and feet in nail polish, used mascara all over her face, unwrapped an entire box or bandaids, and maxi pads, and many many more things. She loves to explore just not when anyone is watching or can stop her.

Some of her sweetness also comes from the way she says things. She likes to wear shirks and stirks. She swears the alphabet song says l,l,l, somewhere in there. And she is the one that named her sister Na-you because she did not seem to get the fact that Nao-mi was not a personal pronoun. She also loves to just randomly tell me "I am big now" this means, I can now do whatever Isaac and Zanna can do. So sweet.

We parise God for every day we get with our precious little girl!

Harvest Time

As we are well into fall and do not get to go outside to see that(Florida does not change seasons) we keep certain traditions in our house to help us think of this time of year.

Our children dress up in costumes for the Harvest Festival at church. We go to the pumpkin patch and get Daddys perfect pumpkin for carving! We start our thankfulness trees to remind how very abundantly we are blessed daily by our God! This year even marked a few new fall traditions. One was the start os school. Isaac began kindergarten, what an amazing blessing to see your children grow and walk through the stages of life! Two the fact that this fall is not marked by a birth of a new child! For those of you that know us well, that is a step. :) It is so fun to sit back and watch the Lord work in the lives of the four blessings He has given us.

First Blog

Well everyone has been adding blogs lately and I do enjoy being to catch up on people through their writings so I decided why not give it a shot. I hope this will help our family and friends keep up with how we are doing and what we are up to. This fall has been a busy one, with Joshu commanding Awanas and Isaac starting kindergarten. We have had some big milestones in our lives. I will get more specific with future posts but I wanted to jump right in and start this thing.
