Say What???

So I have two new stories for you: The first comes from Isaac. It is due mostly to the classical education we are currently doing. As we walked to our local park Josh came home and stopped by us, so of course the kids wanted him to come with us. Isaac stopped and said, "Daddy can you come with us to Constantinople?" The park is called Constitution Park. Hey, at least I know he is learning something.

The second story comes from Naomi-
She fell from the slide/climber in our backyard. When we were trying to ask her what all happened she told it like only Naomi can. "Naomi did you hit anything as you fell?", asks mom. "Well, eventually...(long pause)", says Naomi "I hit the slide." Then she went on to further explanation, "and you see my legs got frustrated."

Say What?!?

Since it has been a while since the last post I now have two new stories. Funny thing is they are both from our little Mimi.

A couple weeks ago we went on a field trip with our homeschooling group. This was to a local animal/ water conservation facility. It is called the River Center. All things involved are related to water and wildlife in that water. Well at the end the guide was asking all the kids what their favorite part was. Serious as a 3 year old can be Naomi looks at the lady and says "But I did not see any giraffes yet!"

The next one is great. I was helping Naomi go potty and when we pulled down her panties a wad of toilet paper fell out. So, with a little hesitancy, I asked, "Why did you leave toilet paper in your underwear?" And again with full seriousness she looks at me and says, "Mommy, that was my tail. I am an animal!" What goes through her mind! She definitely keeps us on our toes. :)

What we have been up to.

After hearing multiple times how I need to update the blog I decided that posting some pictures would be just the thing. A few glimpses into our recent days and times.

Birthdays!

In the last three months we have celebrated another year in the lives of three of our children. Our little Rachel turned 4, she is getting so big and growing into a beautiful little lady. Her tenderness for others shines bright and her laugh still makes us smile every time we hear it(which is quite often). A month after that Isaac turned 7- I can hardly believe it has been seven years since we were anticipating the arrival of our first child. He is becoming such a little gentleman. There is no end to how he surprises us with his logic and longing to know and understand more everyday. Then a few weeks later our littlest princess turned 3. Naomi our baby is getting big. She is still a mama's girl, even to the point that I asked her to stay 2 forever and she agreed to it. :) She is playful and talkative and wild and cuddly and did I mention she is talkative. If you spend two minutes with her you will know what she has done for the last few weeks possibly months if she gets on a role with her stories. They are all so unique! And in one month Susannah will be 6. As they grow so quickly we pray that we will be faithful to bring them up in the love and admonition of our Lord.

Here are a few pictures of their birthdays.
